Planar Filter Design

Kicking off planar filter design is our microstrip design suite covering low pass and band pass filters. The newly minted workflow enables users to input their specifications, synthesize and perform circuit analysis, automate their 3D geometries in HFSS, and optimize their designs

Synmatrix offers a powerful UI to customize their LP microstrip 3D geoemetries easily in HFSS


Low pass microstrip includes support for butterworth and chebyshev filters, and band pass support includes end-coupled, edge-coupled, hairpin, and interdigital types.

Microstrip filters with open loop coupled resonators is also supported, with several resonator shapes available for users.  



Accelerating Diplexer Filter Design

One of the biggest challenges designers face globally is improving the turnaround time to complete a diplexer filter design. Filter synthesis workflows for diplexers were already available, but recent product advancements have led to a breakthrough we can now share with users. Synmatrix now offers a full end-to-end workflow for diplexers, with support for T-junction and common resonator types: 

  • Start with specification analysis and filter synthesis

  • Full 3D geometry modelling and automation in HFSS

  • Optimize your diplexers using computer-aided tuning (CAT) and AI optimization to help dramatically reduce the time to finalize your models
