On May 30th, 2024 Synmatrix had the opportunity to present two unique application cases at the Ansys Simulation World Innovation Day in Ottawa, Canada. Amirbahador Mansoori, an R&D RF Engineer for Synmatrix presented 'A Complete RF Filter Design Workflow Using Synmatrix-HFSS' that featured application cases including a dual-band waveguide filter and a SIW filter with two transmission zeroes. 

The requirements for the dual-band rectangular waveguide was covered in the research paper 'The design of waveguide filters based on cross-coupled resonators' [Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 56(1):3-8,2014] authored by Xiaobang Shang, Wenlin Xia, and Michael J Lancaster. In this presentation Amir summarized how Synmatrix's end-to-end workflow was used to complete the final, optimized design. Using Synmatrix's powerful synthesis capabilities to realize the requirements, design engineers don't need to consider complex, embedded diplexer design configurations to achieve a dualband requirement.
